Spring Mini Session at Infinity Farm

2022-05-15

Spring is my favourite time of year. There’s nothing like seeing the renewal of everything around you, from the flowers to the return of the sun. Also doesn’t hurt that my birthday is in Spring. The best part, though, are the colours you get in photos; there’s just nothing like them. Which is why I’m so excited to show off one of my Spring mini sessions at Infinity Farm from last month!

Really, I just adore the owners and love how much thought and care they put into their installations. I knew I wanted to do flower-focused mini sessions here in Spring and was so excited when I saw this ladder adorned with florals. The simplicity of it, especially out in their wonderful open field, made for the perfect setting for my Spring minis.

This sweet family was another one of my model call families. We were supposed to do photos on Vashon before massive fog caused massive delays. Thankfully, they were super flexible and able to come out and model for me for these minis and I’m so happy they did.

One thing that made me extra happy was that Grandma lives with them. I love a mixed-generation family, having grown up in a huge Irish family. I know I treasure my photos with my grandma and I wanted to make sure these littles had lots of good ones with theirs.

I can’t say it enough — I love the colours you get in Spring. You may have to dodge some rain, but the sun just hits differently in Spring. A Spring mini session just has an entirely different vibe, from the light to the colours of your clothing.

Styling

Styling your family for a session isn’t always easy, but this family knocked it out of the park. I was super excited to have them test out my new offering: Style and Select. For families who book a session with me, you’ll get access to my Style and Select catalogue to help you coordinate your ‘fits. You’ll be able to choose your vibe, choose your colours, and have links to buy clothes sent to your email.

Film!

There were just so many wonderful moments from this session. I could post the entire gallery and it still wouldn’t capture them all. I also brought my film camera and I can’t tell you how much I love how they came out.

This was my first session on Kodak Portra 800 and I can’t get over the colours and tones. I love the way it handles skin tones while keeping that rich saturation on the grass and sky. Families who book a full session with me can choose to add on film images to their session! Mini session families, remember that you get a discount on a full session booked within 12 months of your mini!

In addition to film images and access to Style and Select, I’ve also added in my availability calendar on HoneyBook! This will make it so much easier for both you and I to pick a time and day that works best for us all.

Spring is taking its sweet time here in the PNW this year but we’ve still got those amazing colours and that beautiful light! Click that there button below and book a session!
